Owen Bush (owenbush)

Working as a Senior Developer for Lullabot, and formerly as the development team lead at Interpersonal Frequency, Owen is a highly experienced backend Drupal and PHP engineer. A keen musician and ice hockey fanatic, Owen also comes factory fitted with an authentic British accent and proudly wears his spectacles like a badge of honor. When not writing code or attending zoom meetings Owen can be found in exactly the same place, but instead bashing notes out on his MIDI controller in an attempt to formulate something someone could perceive as music. Owen has grown up all over the world including, but not limited to, Mexico City, Singapore, the U.K., and now finds himself just east of Denver, Colorado with his 3 daughters and his fiancée.

Owen's proudest moments as a developer came when the bare-bones profanity-filter he created in 2008 outperformed a SaaS offering costing more per month than his mortgage, and architecting and developing the Recurring Events and Field Inheritance modules for Drupal 8 and 9. His worst moments have been suppressed.

Owen spent most of his life in the UK, hence the very sophisticated accent in which he delivers his wisdom. From the age of 12 he followed the Colorado Avalanche ice hockey team and would wake up at 3 am to listen to, or if he was lucky to watch, the Avalanche games. In 2015, after moving to Colorado, he got to take in a live game for the first time in his life. There may or may not have been tears of joy. With significant Welsh heritage, he is also obligated to be extremely passionate about rugby and grew up donning red rugby jerseys and pretending he actually knew the words to the Welsh national anthem.

Owen also prides himself on being a connoisseur of the humble buffalo wing. His love for crispy, juicy, saucy, hot wings dates back to his teenage years, and ever since he has been in search for the perfect wing. Recommendations are more than welcome.
