Hi Guys,
Im trying to install Drupal 6.4 onto my website but it keeps asking.....Operations on Unicode strings are emulated on a best-effort basis. Install the PHP mbstring extension for improved Unicode support. (Currently using Unicode library Standard PHP).........Ive clicked on the website link but dont know what to do from there.

Its probably a small glitch to you guys, but Ive only got a few hairs on my head left, your help is much appreciated,

if you are on a shared host you may have to ask the host to take care of this for you as you may not be able to change settings of that nature without their involvement.

a quick search here on drupal.org = http://drupal.org/search/node/php+mbstring

reading the related threads may be of benefit to find out how others worked out this issue.
