kingdutchAt this point I expect the 2.x-alpha versions to work better than the 1.x versions for Drupal 8. So I would recommend testing with the 2.x version of this module.
I do have some changes planned (such as allowing the cardinality to be changed) that will require some more careful testing during updates. I will do my best to provide update paths for those updates however.
In the worst case scenario the Real-Time SEO version 2.x should be uninstalled and re-installed during updates. Uninstalling on the 2.x branch should work and this would only lead to loss of existing keywords/ratings. No actual node data should be deleted during a Real-Time SEO module uninstall.

socialnicheguru commentedthe reason I wanted to use the 1.x version is that you can choose the fields that are read ie. title or body field.
With two it reads the page. Unfortunately errors are caused if different modules are enabled.

rachelf commentedI had the same problem using the 1.x version on one site but not on another. When I compared configurations, the site where it worked was set up to aggregate javascript whereas the other site wasn't (admin/config/development/performance). Hope this helps someone else!

zjoriz commentedSame (or at least similar) problem: 'It looks like something went wrong when we tried to load the Real-Time SEO content analysis library. Please check it (sic) the module is installed correctly.'
First I tried emtptying the caches (after each change), running cron and checking if the Simple XML Sitemap and Meta Tags were properly configured. Then I saw this issue: https://www.drupal.org/project/yoast_seo/issues/3039466 which suggests that there should be a rtseo.js library.
This wasn't bundled with the module. But it can be gotten here: https://github.com/goalgorilla/RTSEO.js
Renamed the resulting folder rtseo.js, put it in my root/libraries folder, and everything works. In fact, I think it looks even better than the WP Yoast versions I've worked with, so thank you for the hard work.
May I suggest updating the mod page to reflect the fact that you need to download this library?
