Exposed filters in Views now allow you to configure a placeholder text. Support for this has been added to string filters and numeric filters.
Configuration:
The desired text can be configured in the filter settings.
Result:
The configured text will be displayed using the HTML5 placeholder tag.

No option for placeholder translation
Able to enter placeholder text, but do not see any option to translate this placeholder text in other languages.
