I would like to be able to offer my hand as maintainer for this project. I currently am the maintainer of Views Natural Sort, so I am no stranger to views API development. Additionally I have been co-maintainer of https://www.drupal.org/project/gaservice which was minimally used. I feel like I would be a great candidate to take on this project and get the security fix taken care of.

Negative. there will not be any issues reported in the project's issue queue related to security concerns. This is part of the policy to not publicly announce security issues. The issue would have been shared with the maintainers and Drupal Security team only.

I have contacted the existing maintainers and haven't gotten any answer. I've also contacted the security team via email about taking this project over. Going to go ahead and move this over to Project Ownership.

Modules that have been marked unsupported do not normally follow this processes in the first 2 weeks. I have given generalredneck access to the underlying security issue, he can create a patch and if it resolves the issue ownership will be moved . I am going to mark this postponed for now as a result.
