Subo parche para solucionar lo comentado por @juanolalla en el comentario #5.
También he solucionado algunas palabras mal escritas y modificado el literal "site-builder" por "_site-builders_" ya que creo que debería ser en plural debido al contexto de la frase y cursiva ya que lo utilizamos como anglicismo.

Tengo una duda aquí, ya que cuando dice "para que otros los utilicen", realmente se refiere a la distribución por lo que bajo mi punto de vista lo modificaría a algo como "para que otros la utilicen".

In English, the standard style guides would say if we have a word in Spanish, French, etc. it should be in italics text. This is standard, not specific to the User Guide, or Drupal project, just standard... I expect the same is true in Spanish, if you have a word in English or French or etc. in a predominantly Spanish text, it should also be in italics. (I'm assuming "cursiva" is italics in Spanish -- that would be an I tag in HTML or EM tag which makes the text look like this).

RE #8: @juanolalla La RAE dice lo siguiente al respecto:

"Los extranjerismos y latinismos crudos (no adaptados) deben escribirse en cursiva"

De todos modos en el apartado 7 del libro de estilo "Una palabra dos idiomas" se menciona lo siguiente:

"A veces ayuda a la comprensión lectora el aparte de traducir la palabra dejarla en el idioma original. En este caso se puede dejar en cursiva."

Puede ser también que yo al leer esto haya interpretado que el anglicismo lo marcamos como cursiva.

It is not a problem for you to write in Spanish -- I can read it quite well, and anyway these are issues about translating the User Guide into Spanish, so you can use Spanish if you want! I have much more trouble reading the issues about the Ukranian and Chinese and Farsi translations ;}

I can also sort of write in Spanish, but although you would probably understand it, it would be full of mistakes, so I prefer to read your Spanish and respond in English, and hopefully we can all communicate! :)

You'll have to forgive me as I don't speak Spanish. But I can try and help out here as one of the maintainers of the overall user guide project.

The Spanish translation hasn't seen much activity lately, but the two people who had started working on this in the past are listed in the table on this page https://www.drupal.org/project/user_guide. Juan, and Guiu. And it might be worthwhile to try and contact them either in Slack or via the contact form on their profile pages to see if they're still active and can help point you in the right direction with regards to Spanish content.

Generally, the next step here would be to get another person who also speaks Spanish to review your translations. And then we can get those added to the guide. I can help with making the commits, and am happy to do so if we can find another person to review this. But I can't personally help with the review. If you know someone that would be great. And if you don't, I can do my best to try and help track someone down.

Right now the task that needs to be done in this issue is for someone to review the translation provided by @gbreck in comment #12. To do so you can download the linked .asccidoc file and open it up in your text editor of choice. Something like VS Code works great. Then read through the file looking for any typos, etc. For comparison, the English version of the content is here https://www.drupal.org/docs/user_guide/en/understanding-distributions.html

You can also read this short guide to working on translations which lists some things to look for while doing a review https://www.drupal.org/docs/user_guide_guidelines/guidelines-translating...

When you're complete you can leave any feedback or questions you have as a comment here and change the "Issue status" to "needs work". Or, if you think it's complete and doesn't need any additional work you can say that and change the status to "Reviewed & Tested by the Community". At which point someone else (probably me) can commit the translated file to the repository and get it included in the user guide.
