This is a planning issue for the roadmap to a better authoring experience when using the thunder distribution and its related modules and core.
We recently conducted a survey and user testing with editors from within the Burda publishing house. They are "power users" of this distribution in the various publishing website projects that are built on top of it.
Naturally their top priorities lie with editing and managing content, but there are other areas as well that regard features that need UX design decisions or planning too.

This list of issues is not complete yet and it's marked with [tbc] where the related issues are not created yet.

1. Content Management

2. Content Creation and Editing

A big part of the improvements needs to happen where editors deal with paragraphs, especially if there are many of them in an article or (channel-)taxonomy. Sorting of long lists and creating new paragraphs that need to be placed not at the end of the list is a major issue here.

2.1 General

2.2 Paragraphs

2.3 Media

2.4 Taxonomy (Channels)

3. Misc

Have you considered concurrent editing as an UX improvement? The conflict 2.x module makes that possible :). I had a session on autosave and conflict at Drupal Europe. Probably you might be interested into taking a look at it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixlLskzT9c4
