Would you consider adding composer.json library support for this module? With this addition composer update would download the jquery.cycle library and install it into the libraries folder for you.
I tried modifying the https://www.drupal.org/node/2714631#comment-11452865 for jquery.cycle, but it didn't work. Probably because I don't know exactly how it works. That's usually the culprit.
