After however many years... contributing to Core really isn't fun for me any more, and since I'm purely a volunteer, if it isn't fun, there's no reason to do it.

I'll stick with Contrib... Patch coming shortly.

Just to clarify... I am still having fun in Contrib-land, and am not leaving the Drupal project. My main thing right now is the Drupal 8 User Guide, which is in the copy editing phase and coming along very well:

I'm also continuing to maintain or co-maintain several contrib modules (some of which need a Drupal 8 port; I've been too busy with other things to take proper care of them). So I'll be around.... just not working on Core. And as @dawehner suggested, I may also be traveling around on my bike more (we have a trip planned for October to the SE United States; and may be heading to Germany next year). :)

Personally, I'm sad about this but as said earlier understandable decision. Your documentation has helped me understand a lot api in Drupal 7 and Drupal 8 so thank you very much.

I'm glad you're still working on the User Guide as it's been a blast to work on that with you. And I hope you're able to find a bit more time for fun things like biking, camping, and relaxing.
