* The response policy is evaluated in order to determine whether a page should

I presume "be stored a in the cache" wanted to be "be stored in the cache". Also, dynamic page cache should be mentioned. Finally, no_cache: TRUE in routing.yml should be mentioned.

Component: cache system » page_cache.module

+1

This is not the cache system though, it's the Page Cache system. znerol is the maintainer for that, he worked on this. I'm sure he'll be able to clarify it.

chx’s picture

Well the namespace is Drupal\Core\PageCache so it can't be a module :/

I totally agree, that's why we have #2540684: Rename Drupal\Core\PageCache namespace.

If someone is going to reword that, then please use the term http cache in place of page cache. The no_cache option is somewhat documented in ResponsePolicy/DenyNoCacheRoutes.php. Rather than adding implementation specific stuff to the policy rule interface I suggest to document routing options in a central place (e.g. routing.api.php).

The grammar error reported in the IS was fixed in Drupal 9.2.x in #2851394: Fix grammar 'a' to 'an' when necessary in Nov 2020.

It looks like the only here to determine if #7 should be a separate issue and/or if there is an issue for that already.

Regarding the wording in #7, the only places I see that use http cache are below so I suggest we leave as is and close this one out as duplicate.

./core/lib/Drupal/Core/EventSubscriber/FinishResponseSubscriber.php: // In order to support HTTP cache-revalidation, ensure that there is a
