basvanderheijden commentedWhen I install the alpha and configure my search api server & (content) index, it keeps listing: 0/0 indexed, and rendering me unable to index any content.
Any clue?

This issue is only to represent the D8 porting status of "Search API Solr Search".
Please make a search in the list Issues for Search API Solr Search and open a new issue if needed.

anavarreDo we have any idea how close to the beta the module is? search_api_solr used to have a new beta when search_api got one and now that beta1 has landed for search_api perhaps it's time to get a beta (and an upgrade path) for search_api_solr as well.
mkalkbrennerVery funny that I'm listed to do the port but that I'm not aware of this issue here. And @amateescu isn't actively working on it anymore since more than a year.
OK, we're in beta already. Therefor I consider this issue as "fixed".
c-logemannThe status "fixed" in the issue_tracker means "Project has stable D8 release". Because there is only a "Beta" of this module this issue needs to be marked as "needs review". Here is the documentation of this special status usage: https://www.drupal.org/project/contrib_tracker#statuses

vindesh commentedWhen I installed Search api solr search module , it does not work and I found that it requires composer packages (solarium/solarium) , to install this package I have uploaded composer manager module and followed these steps :
Install the Composer Manager module
Run the module's init.php script on the command line in your Drupal root directory.
(php PATH_TO_COMPOSER_MANAGER_MODULE/scripts/init.php).
This registers the module's Composer command for Drupal core.
Example:
username@locahost:/var/www/SITENAME$ php modules/composer_manager/scripts/init.php
You should see Composer Manager has been successfully initialized. once initialized properly.
Run composer drupal-update from the the root of your Drupal directory.
Example:
username@locahost:/var/www/SITENAME$ composer drupal-update
but when I run "composer drupal-update" command, I get this error :
Problem 1
- The requested package drupal/filter could not be found in any version, there may be a typo in the package name.
Potential causes:
- A typo in the package name
- The package is not available in a stable-enough version according to your minimum-stability setting
see for more details.
Read for further common problems.
mkalkbrennercomposer manger is deprecated!
Just install search_api_solr via composer.
colanSo that would be Drupal 8 Server setup?
borisson_#10, that's correct. Installing trough composer without using composer_manager is the way to go. In this case:
composer require "search_api_solr:1.x"should suffice. (not tested, airport wifi sucks ;))Comment #12
zerolab commentedMarking as fixed as the module has a stable, 8.x-1.0 release
