Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
In the time since Drupal 7 was released, a number of other modules have been released that replicate some of this module's functionality.
Identify other modules that replace the D7 module's functionality and update the project page accordingly.

DamienMcKennaThe module basically doesn't work right now, we need to make issues for each piece of functionality and start writing it.

DamienMcKennaI've added a bunch of issues to map out the functionality, I suggest if anyone wants to help with the port that they pick an issue and work through it. FYI I'm focusing on Metatag at the moment, but I'll come back to this soon.

gvsoI would like to work on integrating the functionality of this module with the Social API. Nonetheless, this would mean splitting the project in two different modules: one for user login and another for tweeting on behalf.

hostedpower CreditAttribution: hostedpower commentedHi,
I would need a view with twitter feeds only, will the current D8 version allow me to do this? It's pretty unclear to me :)
Thank a lot for letting me know!
Kind regards

DamienMcKennaI haven't had any time to work on this so far this year, would anyone like to help the port effort?
DamienMcKennaIt might be worthwhile working with the maintainers of the Twitter Feed module to share code and/or logic.
DamienMcKennaThere's also the Social API module that aims to be a wrapper for different sorts of social network integration.
DamienMcKennaIt's 2018, I strongly suggest collaborating on the Social API module and others to replicate the functionality rather than this one.
DamienMcKennaThe D8 module is not going to be supported, let's focus on other modules instead, and we'll update the project page accordingly.

Twitter API Block: https://www.drupal.org/project/twitter_api_block

DamienMcKennaI also like the idea of Media Entity: Twitter and Media Entity: Twitter: Automatic Pull quite a bit, but they both need some work, especially the Pull module.
There's also Social Migration, which contains some APIs and migrate integration which could be repurposed.
