New to Drupal, hey all! I've been proud of myself with how my learning has been coming along but I'm very much a non-code oriented person let me say. Anyway, my question is, when I upload an image, I don't know how to keep them from showing up in their full size preempting my text.

I've found I can easily enough copy the image's URL after I upload it and insert the image via the CKEditor wherever I want in the text and can manipulate it to my liking (that why I upload them in the first place), but I can't get rid of the full sized images it copies to the top by default.

I know it's somewhere in the Admin settings but I can't figure out where/I'm still a bit overwhelmed at the Admin setup in Drupal, so support would be hugely appreciated. Thanks guys!

If it's Drupal 7 please click your way through the Admin UI:

Structure > Content types > {Name of your Content type, eg: Page} > Manage Displays

In a default Drupal installation you should see some tabs here, like "Default" & "Teaser" I believe. That's where you define what will be displayed where.

To manipulate the full node view simply edit the "Default" display by hiding the field which you don't want to display. If you go to "Manage Fields" instead of "Manage Display" you can define the available fields for your content type. These are very powerful tools and it's worth to spend some time here and try around a bit with the display and field settings.

Good luck! :-)

Worked like a charm, thanks so much. My issue has been just being able to find what I'm looking for through the diction of Drupal, just gotta keep at it! Thanks again!
