The PHPMailer library that is included in this module needs to get included on the d.o. external library whitelist. It doesn't appear to be, yet: https://www.drupal.org/packaging-whitelist?title=PHP

I don't know if the state of THIS issue is Need review. We cannot review it, we only can wait the request resolution in the other issue...

There is another issue as a feature request where we can install PHPMailer via Composer and update it to 5.2. I think we should focus on that issue.
