Hi,

I am still in my drupal nightmare (https://www.drupal.org/node/2464003) , but the first chapter; migration content is over..now I need to find correct (google) mapping solution.

The good part about Migrating instead of Upgrading is that you can migrate your content to other fields; from location to geolocation and addressfield for example. Then you can select another (Google) mapping solution. What is the best mapping solution to have multiple markers on a map, and a nice info bubble with name, image and url through views, besides Gmap/Location combination? Gmap seems almost abandoned..

For d7, addressfield over location no question. For mapping, I like addressfield_staticmap for simple maps and lean toward openlayers for full fledged mapping.

Hi,
And is there a sort of migration possible from Gmap to Openlayers? I use a marketmanager to cluster the markers on a land or province scale.
Is that there within Openlayers as easy as in Gmap?

EDIT: for future reference I found: http://drupal.stackexchange.com/questions/20418/what-mapping-solution-do...
and http://thewebgeneralist.com/2011/converting-from-gmaplocation-to-openlay...

But would love to hear personal opinions and people who did this migration?

greetings, Martijn

Hi,
Great to read! So it doesn't matter which geo-field solution is onboard. It works for any location storage module of choice, e.g. Get Locations, Geofield, Geolocation Field or Location. This module takes that and brings a whole lot of functionality with it. Super!
Anyone experience with this? Is there for Drupal 7 a favorite location storage module?
Greetings, Martijn
