I created a test user and made some comments around the drupal site one of which is on the main page. I then deleted that user.

All the comments the user made are deleted also however the node still reads as 1 comment although that particular comment is deleted.

A page that the test user had created before on the main page now reads as "n/a" and i dont know how to delete that particualr node.

How do i delete the "n/a" node and how do i solve showing the correct number of comments?

I would try going to the menu admin -> content which will show all the content on your site. You should be able to find the item in the list, edit it, at which point you should be able to delete it.

Don't know about the comment count though.

Been there done that. The n/a node does not show up under content.

I am beginning to realise that deleting a user causes some problems with drupal.

It'd be really helpful to have somebody knowledgeable about current versions providing some detailed instructions here. Deleting of content has been an issue for some of us. I have 100 students a quarter doing 1000 posts, so you can imagine the fun of going through and editing/deleting each person's stuff on a one-by-one;-) I have figured out the trick of going to member pages, edit, block the account, then go back and delete the user. This does leave n/a designations for blog posts, and also bogus counts for answers to forums that would be nice to save from quarter to quarter, etc. I do understand that at administer/database I might be able to "empty" tables.. but frankly I'm not sure what might be in some of those named items. Some I can figure out.. if I posted essay questions in a book that I want to retain, I shouldn't flush the "webform_components".. but if I flush "nodes", will all of my book material for course assingments, etc. be down the tubes? What might delete the 9 pages of n/a for blogs? How would I get forum post counts to go to 0 rather than -23? ;-)

Care and appreciation.. Steve
