Could the dependency on Galleria ("a gallery module" be made customizeable so that we could choose between others like

https://www.drupal.org/project/juicebox
or even
https://www.drupal.org/project/colorbox (perhaps not technically the same..?)

- for the presentation part?

Galleria is nice, but should ideally not be the only option, IMO.

The module is already compatible with the library Colorbox. For all formatters, except Galleria, available Format Settings, where you can set options for Colorbox.
