This is a personal preference, shared by some, but I will say it nonetheless.

I don't like sites that start playing music automatically when you load. Any type of music or tune or sound.

This is very intrusive and annoying.

Other than that, the tabbed design looks unique. Was not able to give it more that a cursory look because of the autoplay music.

Especially if it's not music your into, sure thing to make me close my browser window. i had thought about adding a stop all sound button but had forgotten. i will add some controls for the sound.

Thanks for the input,

I love music - I listen to music while I work. I hate it when I'm in the middle of an adagio mvt. of some Schubert sonata when I visit a site and "BAM!" - Schubert gets trampled by whatever noise the site throws at me (not that your site throws noise - just that any uninvited sonic intrusion is rude).

Furthermore, having your site autoplay music is like saying "NEVER VISIT FROM WORK". People like sites they can visit from their boring day-job's computer.

The look of the site is great, though. Good work.

I liked the site and the music wasn't bad either (considering that this site is geared towards a certain style of music-- I assume-- you may offend certain people because they probably wouldn't be potential customers anyway.)

Although, I must say that Robert Douglas makes an excellent point about work-place browsing! That could scare away potential customers!

The look of the site is quite unique and really illustrates how flexible Drupal can be (I'm sure with some very creative and advanced styling on your part).

The site also has a very "cool" non-corporate feel... like your just checking out some tunes on a boom-box. Very nicely thought out. The colors are pretty good I think, especially the neutral subdued look of the main-content/old radio. The colors at the bottom seem a little odd: more at odds with the subdued greys than the records at the top of the site.

I'm no graphic artist, but that's my reaction.

Maybe you could make the play button on the old stereo background (upper-right?) start the music that has caused criticism, this way the user would initiate it? Hmmm... this might be somewhat intuitive.

Thanks for sharing your work. Inspiring!

Using FF on this end with Adblock enabled. Thus the large image on your site is blocked on FF or if it is Flash it will not be displayed on my system.

I could perhaps offer an alternate image for users which have ad blocking on, although i have to say if you are blocking all the flash movies on the web you are missing some interesting content. The flash movie it self is exported in flash player 7, perhaps this is a mistake. I could try a flash 6 movie but I had planned on using more v2 components and I’m not sure if the movie will work as expected in flash6. I will at least add a site requirements statement and perhaps a flash sniffer which lets users know that they must upgrade or turn on flash in order to see the movie.

Thank you~

What did you do to get your block headers to display like that. they look cool.

I used CSS and background images for the block headers, and the scalable inman flash replacement technique for the text.
