Hello guys. Can I get permissions to commit? I've just got the project on D8 and want to use Bootstrap theme. The site is pretty small one and needs no contrib solution except theme. Bootstrap seems excellent contrib theme for me and I think I can boost porting it to D8 :)

@m1r1k, thanks for applying. Currently, we have recently welcomed ryan.armstrong to the team. He is officially heading up the 8.x-3.x port (see related issue) along with occasional help from myself.

Please feel free to submit patches in tandem with Ryan's work, I would love to see and review them. At this time I don't want to risk too many cooks in the kitchen until we have a solid menu in place (more stable release). Once that happens, I'd be happy to revisit this.

@m1r1k: My apologies for not responding to your email. We more then welcome patches. If you check out the issue queue there are a bunch of issues that were issues in 7.x that got patched, then forward ported to 8.x and need to be reviewed to confirm that they still work. That would be a great place to get started, though keep in mind that 8.x is still very early on.

I would like to finish pure 8.x port to start use it (because actually it could be first contrib theme for D8 ;)) and then go through 7.x patches and port it. I can help you with:
- move all templates to twig
- make clean up (change deprecated d7 function and approaches)
- wrap all custom function into OO code to keep nicely, make it testable and reusable
