wayland76 commentedThe following comment was made at http://drupal.org/node/254518 (which I will close and mark as a duplicate):
wayland76 commentedIf I might be able to make a suggestion, I'd suggest that, as internationalisation is built into D6, the issue http://drupal.org/node/193261 should be fixed before doing a D6 upgrade.
:)
Chris CharltonAgreed and I can't wait for all my necessary modules to get upgraded for 6.

rmurphy00 commentedYes - I am definitely looking forward to this module, as all of my websites are in Drupal 6.
I have been working on some basic SEO for all my Drupal websites and this looks like it would be a very helpful module to have.
Subscribing to the discussion....
...and looking forward to testing the first development release of this module (or the first patch for that matter).
Keep on truckin'

gllahi commentedAs we know exist a lot of modules that work with SEO Positioning like google sitemap, path auto, etc. This modules will need to be migrated to Drupal 6, maybe in the project can be considered the migration of SEO Positioning dependant modules.
Cheers!!!

Hey Gaston,

There were a few articles that Google Sitemap may actually be detrimental to SEO - as it seems that many SEOers are moving away from sitemaps with the intention of letting the crawlers index their sites manually.
aww commentedI definitely need this module.

root_of_roots commentedThe last CVS message was sometime in November - 2007.
Face it - the author probably is not coming back. You can try to email him personally, but chances are that he has work and other priorities that he has to attend to.
The following can be done. Petition the SEO group (or other developers that may be interested) to make a patch and/or co-maintain this module. Email the author (if contact with him is possible) directly through his contact form.
Otherwise than that, "hang on to your butts" .

Chris CharltonI agree. I think LA Drupal would be up for sponsoring a drive, and maybe a member or two can step up some. Either way, anyone here willing to help port to Drupal 6 if we raise some cash?

ben finklea commentedThanks for all the feedback. Attached is the Drupal 6 version. Please post your feedback here.
NOTE: I am not a programmer. I hunt and peck the code and struggle with it. That said, it's working well for me.
I don't know how to fix that i18n problem. I'm completely lost on that. If someone wants to step up and tell me how to fix it then I'm game. Submit a patch or something.
I know I'm supposed to upload this to CVS...but I simply don't remember how to do that. I think it was very complicated at the time I originally uploaded this mod. So, I'm posting it here. I would prefer to have it "out there", though. Does anyone want to spend an hour with me on the phone/GotoMeeting to help me through it? Email me: ben@volacci.com .
Bounties are not necessary. Show your appreciation by linking to my site.
Happy SEOing!!!

ben finklea commentedAfter reading ALL of the comments, I made a few dozen more changes. Mostly to fix broken links and making it XHTML compliant. There are still a few bugs I don't know how to fix but hopefully they won't affect too many of you. I don't know how to make a patch so here's the entire thing again. :-)
Flying Drupalist commentedI've installed it, but I can't find the configuration page. It doesn't appear on my menu list and I don't see it in admin by module. What's the direct url?
armourymedia commentedI receive the following error after activating the module:
Can't find config page as a result.
armourymedia commentedOn modules page, SEO Checklist displays under a fieldgroup called "Example". Should probably go under "Other".
ben finklea commentedIt's the first item listed under "Site configuration".
ben finklea commentedSorry...if you can't find a link in the admin menu, look under "Site Configuration". It should be the first item. If it's not there, please let me know. Here's a direct path: /admin/settings/SEOChecklist
Comment #39
armourymedia commentedTried the direct path. Doesn't work.
ben finklea commentedOK. I see the problem now. Actively working on it.
ben finklea commentedOK, the issue is fixed and released as Beta2. The problem was [blush] that I don't know CVS and uploaded the version 5 compatible module as version 6. I don't even know how I did that. Anywho, it's fixed now so go grab the new beta. I did download the file and test it and it's all working fine now.
Changing this ticket to fixed. If you have further probs, please create a new ticket. Thanks!!!
