Hello,
I have a commerce kickstart profile install of drupal
I am adding some a type of product (shoe) that will have different sizes (3,4,5,6) and different color ( white, red etc)
To get it working i.e create a drop down with the sizes I have to create a separate product variation for each size.

Each variation needs a photo and sku even though in my case my products use the same photo regardless of size.
This seems a lot of work - or am I missing something? I feel I need to add it to the base product somehow but this is escaping me!
I would ask this on the drupalcommerce site but it seems to be very quiet at the moment (rather worryingly for me as I am just in the process from migrating from prestashop to drupalcommerce)
Thank you

if you don't want the image field for each attribute can't the field be removed? I can see the value of an image for each attribute particularly color.
http://www.drupalcommerce.org/faq/product-attributes doesn't mention an imagefield
You are right
There is definatley a value for coloured items. However for most of my products its the size thats changes and in this case the photo would be the same.
Those faqs don't appear to work for commerce kickstart or at least I can't get them to work!
I will take a look again and report back exactly where I get stuck to see if anyone can shed some light
Hello again
Hello again
This is where i am up to
http://www.drupalcommerce.org/user-guide/product-attributes-variations
This works, but for each shoe size I have to create new variation which is a lot of work on every product.
I am sure I am missing something obviuos but I can't find it.
Thank you for looking
This is a very good point.
This is a very good point.
Did you end up figuring this out? What was your solution to avoid having to add a new product for each size?
Thanks
