Hi all. I have a site, where I need to create 10 blogs for my 10 section (a blog for section). And for every blog I need to setup which users can add a page (blog page).

Is this possible ? How ? RTFM ?

hi ziobudda,

one way to do it is to use organic groups.
* set up the groups to allow blog posts only.
* make them public but only allow members to be added by an admin.
* make the 10 people you want to have as authors members of the group.
* modifiy the appearance of the group start page to make it look like a blog.

Hi and tnx for the tips. But I think that I can create what you say with new content type where only some people can create this type. Obviously I need to create the "front page" for my new content type.

Is it correct ?

Sounds cool.

I gather you have a fixed number of group blogs you need to create. And it's not probable that you have to create more and more content types for more and more blogs. So this is exactly what I would do.

However, if you need quite a number of group blogs and want to give control over who's getting into a group and who doesn't to selected users, then og could be an option.
