I am using the module "File Tree" which is a module that requires you to add it's text format to one of the listed text formats and then add this string to the body of a new article or page "[filetree dir="some-directory]. After trying everything I found that I needed more than one file or folder in the directory in order for it to work. The problem I am having now is on the second page I am making I want a different directory listing but when I add the string to the body it prints to the page instead of pulling in the module like it does for the other page.
One thing to note is there is an are in the configuration of File Tree to set which paths are allowed, currently it's set to * which is just the wildcard for any directory.
Has anyone had a similar issue with this or knows of a conflict with using modified text formats and strings on multiple pages?
Thanks in Advance

Please read this thread, which is a sticky at the top of the section of the forum you have posted in: http://drupal.org/node/644164

My apologies.
I generally am too busy to stop and read through stickies when I am working on something.
I might be CRAZY for thinking this but the category "Post Installation" seems to suggest that it is for inquires about the core install of Drupal and not of third party modules.
I kind of wonder how many newbies make the mistake I made because a category like "Module Help" was not added to the list. Once again I'm probably just crazy for thinking that way and I do appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

post installation = after installation (whether core or contrib) not sure what about 'post installation' suggests 'only core' and the sticky that you were generally too busy to read does aid in clearing any confusion.
making mistakes happens (newbie or not). It's how those individuals react when asked to make a correction that tends to stand out.
There are currently more forums than there are people dedicated to working with the forums. Spreading those limited resources out further over a 'module help' forum doesn't help anything. Beyond that if you want module specific help you can file a support request in the issue queue of the module in question.
Please take the time to move the post as requested. Thanks in advance for co-opertaing in keeping drupal.org as organized as possible.
Sorry
As much as I would love to continue a thread on semantics I just can not. I would love to move my post to the "correct" category but when I edit the post and select the category it errors out stating that I need to wait a time interval before trying again. AND I WOULD JUST KILL A WHOLE GAGGLE OF GEESE if it were possible to have a question regarding my failed attempt to migrate this post sorted out but I'm sure I'm still in the wrong forum area for such inquiries.
Now I understand the list of moderators is small and the available support from mods is stretched thin but when I get responses from forum nazis with ego fingers I really have to question just how much time they have available when my misplaced post is getting their attention. My post could have gone ignored... Really.
Is it so hard for people to see a post and go "Oh I know what he is referring to" or "Nope not worth the time"? Pick your battles is all I'm saying.

That a boy!

Gee, a comment like that doesn't exactly endear you to those of us who volunteer our time to help out. You seem to think your time, as someone asking for free help, is more important than our time, as those giving free help. Now, had you posted in the correct forum, you may have received some help. But in this section, we are focused on coding, not module usage, and in my own case a only use a few contributed modules, so I rarely have answers to module based questions. But if you are asking about coding, I'm your man. And I think you'll find the reverse is true for people who watch the post installation forum - they generally know a lot about modules, and and don't focus as much on coding.
The few moments it would have taken to read the stickies, which is something you should do on any forum you are new to, would have likely saved you the time that this thread has now used, without providing an answer.

Not to mention the reduced chances of getting help in the future that a statement like that will cause. afaic, I'm too busy helping users that deserve it to bother helping those who's time is too valuable to read forum stickies.
And i've moved the post.
EDIT:
And in the future, please don't post duplicate threads-- they'll just be deleted anyway.
Funny, your time is too valuable to read stickies, but you have no problem wasting the time of others-- good luck with that attitude in open source, lol.
