I don't want any accounts on my site, except an admin account. Since I am the only one who should have an account, I don't want the user/login block to appear for everyone. At the same time, it obviously has to exist so that *I* can login. Is there any solution to this? It's just an annoyance (not to mention, confusing) for users, since they can't create an account anyway.

If you don't want the LOGIN block to appear..do this:

(a) go to ADMINISTER -->> BLOCKS

(b) Disable USER LOGIN block

For you to be able to Login. do one of the following:

(a) Remember this link: www.yoursite.com/?q=user/login

(b) create a shortcut on your desktop or a favourite bookmark in your browser to the same link as (a).

(c) In your footer, insert a discreet "admin login" link that you can click on, for example:

admin login

Hope that helps

If I am not mistaken, people in the know can still type in the login url and register themselves. If you don't want any accounts except admin, turn off this ability completely during the initial CS install.

I haven't tried it myself, so can't say how it works. Also, you can't run the CS install wizard a second time, so if you are half way through creating your site, no point in turning the clock back.

This info may only apply to Civicspace. Please ignore.

Just so you know, in CivicSpace you can change this setting any time you want in exactly the same way as you would in Drupal--because CivicSpace is Drupal. It's in the admin/user/configure page. No need to run the CivicSpace setup wizard again.

Make sure you disable the User Registration of new accounts on the user config page:

?q=admin/user/configure

Set it to 'Only site administrators can create new user accounts.'
