Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
It would be a big help if new supported releases could be rolledout.
Many changes/fixes/improvements have been mide since 2011-Oct-26 (3.0 version) until 2013-Mar-16 (dev version) and it has passed 1,5 years. should be nice to create a 7.x-3.1 version that people update this module.
thanks, first of all, for one of the most important modules in my arsenal. a "go to" for almost every site i build. I almost posted another issue on this...glad I found that others were as confused by this as me...why almost 2 years with lots of commits with no new (3.1) release? this #1333026: "Hide pager when there is only one slide" option hides the pager even if there are more than one slides. really threw me for a loop, the fix is already committed to dev months ago and clients aren't really into using dev versions on live sites...what's the hold-up? oh, and thanks again for this amazing module. couldn't build sites without it.
I would like to second Bernsch and scotself. If you don't want to support the new features in an official release, perhaps just bug fixes? I am happy to help prepare and test a 7.x-3.1 if the maintainers are interested.
ted has offered to help - is there a reason to hold back a release? It has been over 2 years - lots of bad things can happen when everyone is on different versions of dev....
Following up with #2132659-145: [META] Problems with Project Release Packaging, it seems I mistakenly tagged the release as Security, which required approval and therefore wouldn't be published automatically as other Release types would.
Unfortunately, I couldn't have found out about this by myself, since I couldn't see the field anymore while editing the release, so it ended up dragging for a month ....
Anyhow, with the help of @dww, the release type was changed to Bug fixes (which is what it should really be) and published straight away.
With this new release rolled out, I guess we can move on and that's why I allowed myself to mark this issue as fixed for now, but feel free to re-open it, or post a new ticket, at any time if you have any further objections with this task (we would surely be happy to hear your feedback).
Please let me know if you would have any further comments, feedback, questions, issues, objections, suggestions or concerns on this comment or this task in general, I would be glad to provide more information or explain in more details.
Special thanks to @dww for his prompt response and great help unblocking the situation.
Thanks in advance to everyone for your testing, reviews, feedback and comments on the newly released 7.x-3.1 version.
Cheers!
