I was directed to Drupal because I was seeking software that would allow me to run a site that allows other people to register and create their own blog pages.

Does Drupal support this?

I was about to download it, but then noticed that it said "Drupal can support a diverse range of web projects ranging from personal weblogs to large community-driven sites."

With Drupal will I be able to start a site like blogger.com? I don't want my PERSONAL blog, I want a site that is capable of allowing users to sign-up so THEY can EACH have their own blog pages.

I registered here at Drupal thinking it would allow me to test out the blog feature, but there was no where I saw that indictated it would allow me to add the first post to my blog page.

Please help! :(

Each user can have their own blog, but at the moment Drupal won't allow them to personalize their blog much. There is talk about making blog.module more flexible, so it can suit the various types of blog arrangements out there, but of course that's still in development.

By the way:

Please do not post any tests here. Drupal.org is a production site like any other, it is not a playground. It is very annoying to have to remove posts by people who do this.

You can access a drupal test system at http://www.opensourcecms.com, you should be able to find drupal under CMS - Portals.
