Hi there,

I've recently installed Drupal and been finding my way around it, however for the life of me I can't work out how to make the search field display when not logged in!

I've gone through the steps of adding the search module, activating it in the theme, assigning it to the right sidebar block, and checked the configuration so that anonymous user and authenticated user can view the search field. Despite all this, the search field only displays when logged in. As soon as i log out it disappears! Can someone please help me with this.? Thanks in advance for any help.

PS. The search field not only displays when logged in, it also works perfectly... just can't get it to show when logged out!

When you enable the Search Module did you make sure to go over to the Access Control List settings ( /admin/user/access ) to make sure you have allowed Anonymous user to "Search Content"? You may also want to allow them to "Advanced Search", but thats up to you.
