1. Set "Preview comment" to required.
2. Fill out the comment form.
3. Hit "Preview."
4. Make a change to the comment.
5. Hit either "Preview" or "Save."

When I follow the procedure above, the comment is never updated to reflect the changes made in step 4.

This does not appear to happen when "Preview comment" is set to optional.

I just ran into this after switching to required in an attempt to decrease spam. (On the plus side, I can turn it back, but it seems like a big issue, because it may make people think Ajax Comments doesn't work period.)

This issue is really unfortunate because clicking Save results in the initial preview being posted, not what is in the textbox, i.e. data loss.

I have the same issue but even with no setting "Preview comment" to required (due to this) and running version 7.x.
So when I click either "save" or "preview" button nothing happens (comments don't save and changes don't show in the preview).

Just making out the .js code I have come up with a supposition that the problem maybe occurs because of incorect changing the "context" variable.

Sorry but I don't really support the d6 branch... If someone is willing to provide a patch i would commit it!
