Initial configuration

You need to perform this step before you could use the module.
Fill in Account settings and Player settings with the values you've learned from your Brightcove Studio account.

Other options

Custom Drupal user field in Brightcove

In the Account settings, you can find a field named "Brightcove Drupal User Custom Field". Sometimes it can be valuable to store some information in Brightcove about the user who uploaded a video. This needs a custom metadata field in Brightcove, which can be created only if you have Pro or Enterprise account. If you would like to use this feature, you'll have to configure Brightcove first:

  1. Visit http://my.brightcove.com/admin (sign in if you haven't already). Choose Video Fields in the menu on the left. Click on Add Custom Fields and add a text type field (note the internal name of the field).
  2. Go to Brightcove settings and fill in the Brightcove Drupal User Custom Field box with the internal name.

After that every upload will tell the the uploaders Drupal username to Brightcove, so you can follow who uploaded what. You can check the result if you edit a video in Brightcove Studio and switch to the Custom Fields tab.

Status settings

The module can display a message if the video is unavailable for some reason. You can configure this behaviour from the Status settings.
