Updating the Brightcove integration module to version 5 (only for Drupal 7!)
Last updated on
19 May 2017
Drupal 7 will no longer be supported after January 5, 2025. Learn more and find resources for Drupal 7 sites
Please note that you should only do the following steps if you are using an older version(under 5.0) of the Brightcove module for Drupal 7, and also using the Brightcove Media integration module. You can update regularly otherwise.
Update steps
- Take your site into maintenance mode.
- Create backups.
- Disable(or uninstall) Brightcove Media module.
- Remove old version of Brightcove module and download the latest (7.x-5.0) version. Please check that the brightcove_media module isn't included in brightcove directory.
- Run update.php
- Download the proper version of Brightcove Media module.
- Enable Brightcove Media module.
- Run update.php
- Check your site content.
- Take your site out of maintenance mode.
We recommend to update your Brightcove module to 7.x-5.0 as soon as it is released, because it will be the only supported release for Drupal 7.
