I want to set Drupal 5.1 up so non-technical users can
add/format their own text (bold, indent, etc.)
add inline images to their page, and position / size the images within the text.
What's your favorite way to do this?
TinyMCE - seems to be in limbo.
Moxie - does it support the TinyMCE image plug-in?
HTMLarea - dead?
Xinha - can it upload images inline?
Widget - does it handle images?
FCK Editor - How do you like it?
Others...?
I can't require them to first upload to an image gallery or anything. Just having them point to a file on their hard drive is complicated enough for them. Some of them think their operating system is AOL.
thanks,
Quint

I like Fckeditor
I use Fckeditor and enable the file upload and browser so that people can upload a file and create a link to it all in one action. There is a bit of mucking about configuring the php connectors to get the upload and file browser working but once you have it working it is great. Please see my post on how to configure the php connectors

usability for dummies
I agree with Quint and I think it should be possible to setup Drupal to let some users edit almost every area of pages, articles in a much simpler way. I think it's no good that there are two modules by now (5.10, don't know for 6.x) for editing and uploading images, it should definitely be only one. Usability for dummies is a step you can't ignore. CMS BOX rules bigtime in this concept.
If you have any module or info on this, let me know ;)
