database installation process with myphpadmin ? (SORRY '8-|)

1. I don't have telnet/ssh/root access at my host, so I have to set up the database with myphpadmin.
But when entering the commands as written in the installation documentation "$ mysql -u root -p", "GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON dbname.* TO user@hostname IDENTIFIED BY 'password';" or "$ mysql -u user -p dbname ^ database/database.mysql" (all with or without '$ mysql'), myphpadmin tells me "No SQL-Command!".

Which syntax is correct for use with the phpMyAdmin-GUI ?

2. I've tried to override these steps (in hope it won't be necessary), followed the installation and now I get a 500 server error when calling index.php for the first time.

Depends it on the misconfigured database or is it another problem?
