I am in need of a module that allows an Admin role to send different emails/newsletters to registered members, and then archive them.
For example, the site I'm working on is for a non-profit. The Director sends out an informal update to the association members every week. I need to enable a form to send these and have the sent messages archived in a "Notes from..." heading. She also does monthly newsletters and infrequent legislative updages, each of these would have to be archived under a "Newletter" and "Legislative Update" heading.
I noticed the Mail module, but it doesn't quite look as robust as I need. Am I wrong? Any suggestions in configuring something like this?
Thanks!!!

check out civicspace
the civic space version of drupal might be useful for you. It has more features for non-profits including more robust mailing list. they are implementing phplist for the newest release I believe, which should be out in a week approx. http://civicspacelabs.com
Mail and Newsletter modules
You might find a quick solution in the Mail module. There is also a Newsletter module, although it seems to be still in development/testing.
Email Newsletter Module
Still under active development - just added the ability to process bounced back emails this weekend.
I'm planning to post another developer release next weekend so a few more people can give it a test run.
Latest info can be found here: Email Newsletter Module Forum.
