I have uploaded Drupal 7 to GoDaddy - apparently successfully - but when I attempt to log into my site the following errors are reported:
Warning: Unterminated comment starting line 5342 in /home/content/76/7118176/html/includes/common.inc on line 5342
Fatal error: fatal flex scanner internal error--end of buffer missed in /home/content/76/7118176/html/includes/common.inc on line 5342
I deleted the comment beginning on line 5342 from common.inc but a new problem arose on a different line.
Six deletions later the problem shifted to a line with actual code so I could go no further.
Can someone identify the cause as the situation is CRITICAL and URGENT.
I can not revert to D6.

We are in a decision process whether we will take Drupal or Sharepoint for our firm. After Drupal has a version which is supporting SQL-Server 2008 whe decided to try Drupal first. After installing our Webserver with SQL Server 2008, IIS 7.0, PHP, .NET 4.0 the Drupal installation runs without problems. Additional all our self developed .NET applications are running better than ever as well.
In Drupal, registration, Administration, articles etc. running fine, but we have one big problem which should be solved, elswhere we cannot use Drupal 7 at us.
If you upload any picture/document several Errors occured esp in the (Line 6776) in the common.inc and all user inputs (profile, article etc.) are away!!!. First we proofed the rights in the sites directories - all fine - we tried with a small .NET programm an upload and it is working fine.
Meanwhile we're searching several days for this issue and find no solution for this existential point using Drupal in future at us.
We installed Drupal 7.
