I've downloaded Fontawesome module and library for Drupal 8. Apparently in 8, libraries now go in /libraries in root. sites/all...is no longer being used, however, when I enable the module and place the library in the /libraries folder, it doesn't read it. I get a message stating to put it in sites/all/libraries. I dont want to keep one library in sites/all and the rest in /libraries as it's not consistent.

Yes, you are right. For Drupal 8, "fontawesome" library is supposed to be placed under "/libraries" directory only. I have updated readme.txt & message for that.
- Could you please make sure that "font-awesome.min.css" exists at " /libraries/fontawesome/css/" directory?
- Cache needs to be cleared.
Please let me know your inputs.
Thank you !

Thanks for your response. I went ahead and re-downloaded the module and installed it to make sure nothing was overlooked. Re-downloaded the library and placed it in the /libraries folder. Cleared my cache and everything seems to work as expected now.
Thank you!
