can somebody explain or point to an thorough explanation on how to set up/configure users in Drupal that can use/modify Gallery2 inside a Drupal website.
I want to create users in Drupal that can download or upload albums/photos from within my Drupal site without having to go to the stand-alone Gallery2. I've created already 3 Gallery2 set ups working within Drupal but I always have to go to the stand-alone to change stuff. The documentation on the Gallery2 module says:
9. If necessary, disable the Register module in Gallery2 and remove the Login item from the sidebar block. All login and registration functions now need to go through Drupal (and from there automatically to Gallery2, not Gallery2 directly.)

So how do we create users in Drupal that can access the gallery (in Drupal) and modify stuff?

There is a syncuser function in the gallery admin area in drupal, under site config. You can import new gallery2 users, or sync gallery2 with your new drupal users.

that could be it but I'm not quite sure.. I have to play around with it to see if this is really what I needed. I'll keep you posted !!

actually the side bar integrates now within Drupal too, is there a way to set the side bar inside the left or right side blocks from Drupal?
and I don't really get it.. should I make the same user that I already have in Drupal also in G2?

If you have sidebars, the gallery navigation block can be enabled in either saidbar.

when a use registers in Drupal they are automatically registered in G2. you need to do nothing else beyond syncing the users using the Gallery.module settings in the drupal admin.
