I'm making the transition from 4.4 to 4.5.1. On my 4.4 site I am using the import, feed and items modules to harvest RSS feeds and promote them to the center column or stories. I'm using the news aggregator module in 4.5.1 to harvest RSS. Is there a way to promote the fed articles to the center column?

I've been working on getting patches in to do that for about a year now. I haven't been trying very hard. Maybe it will be in before 4.6, but no guarantees.

After some research, I found that Node_aggregator [http://drupal.org/project/node_aggregator performed this function in v4.4. It appears that 4.5 busted it.
