So, I'm checking out various sample sites, such as: http://www.heliopod.com/.

Notice how on this site there's a Slashdot Block. It sure looks like it is displaying the headlines of an RSS feed.

Is there a module that does this that I missed? If not, how do I make these things?

To my understanding you want to "Administer" "Content", then choose "Syndication" add the URL of the feed you want. Once you have done that go to "Administer" "Configuration" "Block" and enable the block and specify the region in which it will appear.

but first get a aggregator module. Or try the syndication module for more feeds
