Hello.

I am new at using Drupal and I am attempting to export user information from our organizations site. I downloaded Views Data Export PHPExcel from Drupal.org and was able to install it on to the site. I then went on and installed the module but I could not check the box where I could enable it. I tried reinstalling the module but it kept saying the module is already installed. If the module is installed why can't I enable it by checking the box.

It says I'm missing Views Data Export PHPExcel when I want to check the box but then it says that the module is already installed when I try to reinstall it.

This question should be in the Post Installation form, as it is not a code-based question. You can move it by editing the original post and moving it to that forum.

But to address one possible reason this may be happening is that you have uploaded the module twice to your file system in two different locations (or even added the module as a subfolder of itself)
