hi all,
i have downloaded drupal recently. my brother installed it. As i wanted to start learning it i started right from installation.
My apache is working well. When i point the browser to localhost/drupal-5.2 it works fine.
I did this.
Created public_html folder in my home directory and extracted the drupal.tgz in /home/medhamsh/public_html
When i point my browser to localhost/~medhamsh/drupal-5.2/install.php, i am unable to get the install screen instead getting 500 internal server error.
Please help me. apache is fine but i am unable to figure out. But still my brother's installation works fine

Hi,
I've got the same problem with Drupal 6.8. I wanted to install Drupal, so I uploaded all the data, but when I pointed Firefox to the directory (or do you say folder?) in which I installed Drupal, I got a 500-Error.
The error_log says:
