Requirements / Dependencies
- All Project Management (PM) submodules require the following modules. If not already done, you must install:
- Views
- Chaos tool suite (ctools)
Install
- Option 1: The easiest way to install is through the Drupal interface
- Option 2: Another way is to install the module manually. The PM module for Drupal 7 can be downloaded here.
Configure
- Enable PM module: And enable whatever submodules of PM that you wish, by visiting http://example.com/admin/build/modules. You will (almost) always need 'Project Management' and 'PM Organization'.
- Set up permissions: Initially, it is recommended that you allow full access for your administrative role, and create other roles with more limited permissions once you are familiar with the system. You can use PM alongside other content access modules, as long as you are careful to set permissions correctly for both modules.
- Configure PM Settings: There are a number of settings forms linked from http://example.com/admin/config/pm. After installation, you should visit these pages and choose settings appropriate for you.
- PM Home: The "home" page for the PM module, http://example.com/pm, provides a handy launchpad for managing your PM configuration. From here, you can manage all PM content types.
- Create Organizations, Teams, People: Add these base information types first to get started managing your projects.
