Articulate 360 SSO Login

This document will help you configure Articulate 360 as a Service Provider ( SP ) making Drupal as your Identity Provider ( IDP ). Following these steps will allow you to configure SAML SSO between Articulate 360 and your Drupal site such that your users will be able to log in to Articulate 360 using their Drupal credentials.

The Drupal SAML IDP 2.0 Single Sign-On (SSO) module is compatible with Drupal 7, Drupal 8, Drupal 9, and Drupal 10.

Prerequisite:

Drupal SAML IDP Metadata:

  • After installing the module on your Drupal site, in the Administration menu, navigate to Configuration -> People -> miniOrange SAML IDP Configuration. (/admin/config/people/miniorange_saml_idp/idp_setup)

  • Under the IDP Metadata tab, copy the IDP Entity ID or Issuer, SAML Login URL, and X.509 Certificate. Keep it handy. (This is needed to configure Articulate 360 as SAML SP.)

Configure SAML SSO Application in Articulate 360:

  • You must have an Articulate 360 Teams subscription.
  • Your team members need to have a supported version of the Articulate 360 desktop app installed, 1.39.22088.0 or later.
  • Login to your Articulate 360 LMS domain.
  • To configure Single Sign On, send an email to the Articulate 360 Support team to request enrollment and include the information presented below.
    • Your Articulate 360 Teams Subscription number.
    • Also, provide the Endpoints required from the Drupal SAML IDP module.

  • After that, the Articulate 360 Team confirms your enrollment, they will provide SP metadata which is required to configure Drupal as SAML Identity Provider.

Configure Drupal as SAML Identity Provider (IdP):

  • Navigate to the Drupal site and switch to the Service Provider Setup tab of the miniOrange SAML IDP module.
  • Provide the following information from Articulate 360 as per below table:

    Drupal field (Identity Provider) Service Provider Information (Articulate 360)
    Service Provider Name Enter name as per your choice 
    SP Entity ID or Issuer Entity ID
    ACS URL ACS URL
    NameID Format urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:1.1:nameid-format:emailAddress

  • Scroll down and click on Save Configuration button to save your configuration.
  • Click on the Test link to check connection between Articulate 360 and Drupal. You will redirect to Articulate 360 dashboard.

You have successfully set up Articulate 360 as Service Provider and Drupal as Identity Provider.
