Drupal 7 will no longer be supported after January 5, 2025. Learn more and find resources for Drupal 7 sites
A common use case is that the site uses a node, a view or a Panels page for the front page and wants to control that page's meta tags through that object's configuration. By default the system doesn't support this, it wants to use the "Frontpage" defaults on the module's configuration page (admin/config/search/metatags).
To make this work as requested, follow these steps:
- Go to the Metatag defaults config page (admin/config/search/metatags).
- Find the "Global: Front page" configuration in the list.
- Click the "Disable" button corresponding to this item.
- Clear the site's cache.
That should be all that's necessary.
