Communication tools and platforms

This section and its Related Content provides information on tools used to communicate with the Drupal community. The Drupal community doesn't have "official" tools, but here is some guidance:

  • For asynchronous communication about enacting changes to software, documentation, and processes, the community uses Issues on drupal.org.
  • The most active real-time chat tool at this time is Slack. DrupalChat is also quite active in some geographical regions and language groups. People use chat tools for getting support; discussing changes to software, documentation, and processes; and organizing voice/video meetings.
  • For asking support questions, see the Support page for links.
  • For discussions about topics, within geographical regions, or in non-English languages, the community uses groups.drupal.org and language-specific community sites.
