I've got three sandbox modules. Menu Auto Display creates automatic link pages for parent menu entries. Google OAuth2 Service Account connects to Google Apps as a service account, which is useful for cron tasks. Google Calendar Merge synchronizes Google Calendar events with local events. Rules may be used to set flags in the local events allowing site-builders to control event calendar and block display.
I've contributed code that has been used to patch Workbench and other modules.
