Dave Chakrabarti (dchakrab)

I've been working in web development since '00, and began using the Drupal CMS almost exclusively in '05. Usual roles involve responsive front-end code (HTML, CSS / SASS, Bootstrap / Foundation, light jQuery) and site-building, project management, and training. My most recent project involved developing training materials and conducting Drupal training workshops for IT administrators at 11 universities at the Ministry of Higher Education in Afghanistan, for the USAID-funded University Support and Workforce Development Program at FHI360.

I've also managed virtual private servers, presented at several conferences, and handled training and support projects all over the world. I'm a former Americorps VISTA fellow, and was a co-convenor / presenter at Aspiration’s Nonprofit Software Development Summit in Oakland three times. Since ‘11, I’ve also served as an advisor to two startup incubation programs in Calcutta, India, and currently mentor student teams as the Technologist in Residence at Techno India University’s workforce development program.

I'm currently traveling with my two rescued doggies and teaching women's self defense classes in and around Calcutta, India for the summer of '17.
