This module contains a port of acquia_search-7.x-3.1 new connection rules to protect production indexes by:

• automatically switching to an independent Solr index (if available) that belongs to the current environment+multisite instance
• or if a proper index isn't found, then the connection will use the main (production) index BUT will be forced to read-only mode to protect the Solr index's data

And, you can turn off these overrides via any one of these methods:
