This is a alpha release for the next feature release of Drupal 8. Alpha releases are good testing targets for developers and site builders who are comfortable reporting (and where possible, fixing) their own bugs. Alpha releases are not recommended for non-technical users, nor for production websites. More information on alpha releases.
The social_geolocation module has been improved to work with the SOLR Search API backend. To make this possible the dependency on the geocoder module has been removed in favour of using the geolocation module entirely. The custom address geocoder preprocessor has been removed in this change.
The search functionality of the social_geolocation module is now found in the social_geolocation_search sub-module. This module will be enabled automatically on sites that currently have the social_geolocation module installed.
