Drupal 4.6 release status, new development cycle

Unless showstopping bugs appear, Drupal 4.6 should be unleashed next week. That is, we are about to release Drupal 4.6 real soon now. This past month, the Drupal developers have been busy bees: they've poked at the Drupal 4.6 release candidate, turned it upside down, shaken (and occasionally stirred) it, dropped it, and still it held strong. As a result, we are increasingly confident that Drupal 4.6 is ready for production.

Drupal chosen for yet another new website ... Cyberocity

There I was, rubbing my forehead from fatigue, coffee cold, and wondering what to do ... I'd just finished a marathon "set up and check out session", 18 hours long, with Xoops, Typo3, Tikiwiki, Siteframe, phpWCHS (or something like that) and maybe 4 - 5 others ... they were all lacking in some major way. I had to find a CMS to use for my new site.

I blurrily looked one more time at the list of Fantastico titles to install from my cpanel, and there was this innocuous looking little word, "Drupal." I'm like, what is that? I've set up and used almost every PHP based CMS at SourgeForge over the last four years, and never heard of it.

As I got further and further into it I began to realize something ... that over the last 4 years I've seen so many "goals" and "to do" features for one CMS or another expressed so many times, that I had believed all of them were possible, but that nobody could put it all together in one package, and because of that I had high expectations ... and I realized something else ... they were being met for the first time.

So hello everyone, this is LeBlank signing in! My new site is "Cyberocity" ( http://www.cyberocity.com ) and here is my blurb!

--> ahem ... snif, scratch .. ok begin blurb

After years of research, we have finally identified what it is we are all trying to achieve ... "Cyberocity" ... that certain something that keeps us coming back, that keeps us interested. The way a website presents itself, the"image." It's the things that a company or private administrator does to make it more ingenious, more logical, more intuitive in meeting visitor's needs.
