Usability discussions have moved to Groups.

Make (my) recent posts a primary link on the menu.

I find myself having to click on the recent posts for everyone before returning to mine, and it more or less means that 2 demanding queries have to be run.

Multiply this by the number of people who do the same and that is a lot of unnecessary load hitting the Drupal.org server.

I think this fix is quite simple and can be implemented very quickly.

Drupal Accessibility for the blind.

Hello. I work with the California Department of Education.

My particular role has me testing a great deal of websites and software for the disabled community. Of particular interest to me is web accessibility for the blind. I do much of my testing with my monitor turned off, for example.

I’ve been looking at CMSes recently. A cursory search here showed me a page talking about how certain “themes” claimed to be 508 compliant, but not enough information for my needs. It’s still better than most projects, many of which have no concept of the topic at all.

Create a "Top 10" Chart

Hi,

I am only on day 3 of playing with Drupal, and very impressed with what I have been able to do in a short space of time.
One thing I would like to do is to have a Top 10 music chart, but Im not too sire as to the best way to acheive this.
It will be compiled (hopefully) from submissions by my users on a weekly basis.
Is there a module out there that can do this?

Many thanks

Jimmy

Crappy User Search features in Drupal til 5

Hi,

once again I tried to find a guy in a huge drupal database who

- might not have used his realname, but email
- might not have used his standard email, but a common handle he often uses
- might have signed up with his companies' name or URL in ONE of several profile fields

So today I realize how bad this

SELECT * FROM {users} WHERE LOWER(name) LIKE LOWER

in the user.module really is.

Best modules for a Netvibes-like front page?

I want the front page of my blog (and other sites) to have a netvibes-like interface, for the various subjects I write abot. Many blocks, on 3-4 columns,

What is the best way to do it? Please advise.
Also - in which ways can Drupal provide unique features not available on netvibes?
And what do you think about the idea in General? Is it possible? Is it worthwhile?

I figure I can start with the panels module and use hardcoded predefined views. Is it the best way?

Gallery2 no longer showing 'inline'

Evening all -

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I could really use a hand. I originally had Drupal 4.7 installed in my development environment on my website (simply a subdirectory off the root). I went to copy my dev environment to production, thus replacing the original non-drupal version of my site, only thanks to not-so-SmartFTP, it moved my development environment to production.
